Sofia is born prematurely in a barbershop, among strange
men, waiting for haircut, on the same day in June 1968, when
Bob Kennedy was shot to dead. For fifteen years she grows
among the stoves and the tables in the small restaurant of
her parents. Hardworking, ambitious and surprising, she soon
falls in love not with one, but with two men. With Toni, the
son-in-law whom every mother would like to have, Sofia gets
married and has three children. With Frank, the agent who is
the dream of every artist, she discovers the secret of haute
cuisine. With both of them she will reach such a professional
and love agreement, that she will stir a revolution in the
culinary world.
“Olivia Molina is simply wonderful in the role of this woman,
exceptional in every aspect, including her relationships
with the opposite sex: she is a part of a love triangle, which
pleases the three sides, and where the communion goes far
beyond sex. An unusual and daring comedy, which doesn’t
lose its visual and thematic stability even for a moment.”
