Leitmotifs of the film are water (beginning from waterfall
at Monte Gelato, going through river Tevere and Rome’s
fountains) and cinema (with excerpts from La Dolce vita,
Roman Holiday and Siamo donne), which are followed by
sequences from the places, where they’ve been shot. The
Colliseum is shown with mosaics, portraying gladiators, and
through the whole films the viewer can hear the arias “E
lucevan le stele” from “Tosca” and “Nessundorma” from
“Turandot” by Puccini.
